Sunshine Coast’s Leading Hot Water Installer
Not every hot water installation is the same job. Putting a like-for-like unit back where the old one sat is quick. Switching energy source, moving the system, upsizing for a growing household, or fitting out a new build or renovation are bigger jobs that depend on what your property is actually set up for. Our licensed Sunshine Coast plumber team starts with your connections, your space and how your household uses hot water, then recommends the right system, rather than pushing a one-size-fits-all unit.

Which Kind of Installation Do You Need?
- Like-for-like replacement. Same type, same spot. The connections already exist, so it is the fastest and most affordable.
- Changing energy source. Electric to heat pump, electric to gas, or moving to solar. The biggest step, because the new system needs services the old one did not.
- Relocating a system. New water lines and possibly new gas or electrical, worth it when the old spot made servicing awkward or put a noisy unit in the wrong place.
- Upsizing for demand. A growing family or an added bathroom often means more capacity, or a different technology altogether.
- New builds. The one case where everything is open, and the smart conversation happens before the walls are closed in.
- Renovations and extensions. Usually a capacity question plus an access question, since demand changes and the system often has to move.

Systems We Install
We install every major system type and help you choose the one that suits your home, energy setup and the Sunshine Coast climate:

Heat pumps
Among the most energy-efficient options and very well suited to the Coast's mild climate, drawing warmth from the surrounding air. Eligible for rebates in many cases.

Solar hot water
Makes the most of the region's abundant sunshine to cut running costs, roof-mounted or split-system.

Gas continuous flow
Endless on-demand hot water with no tank, ideal for busy households with gas connected.

Gas storage
Reliable, fast-recovery hot water for higher-demand homes.

Electric storage and instant
Simple and dependable where gas is not available, from whole-home tanks to compact single-outlet units.
We install trusted brands such as Rheem, Rinnai, Solahart, iStore, Reclaim, Vulcan, Dux and Bosch, and will recommend the right one for your needs.
Sizing It to Your Household, Not Your Floor Plan
Bedroom count is a poor guide to hot water demand. Two people in a four-bedroom home use two people’s worth of hot water. What actually matters is how many people live there, how many bathrooms draw at once, whether anyone takes baths, and whether that is about to change. For storage systems we look at tank capacity plus recovery rate; for continuous flow we look at flow rate, meaning how many outlets it can supply at the same time. We size the system to your real usage so you never run out or overpay.
Positioning: The Part People Forget
Where a system goes often matters as much as which system it is. Heat pumps have a fan and compressor, so they need airflow and clearance, make some noise, and produce condensate that has to drain somewhere sensible, which rules out boxing them into a tight corner or under a bedroom window. Gas units need ventilation and their own clearances. Solar collectors need a roof with the right orientation, pitch and condition, and minimal shading. We work all of this out during a site assessment, before the quote, not on installation day.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which hot water system is best for the Sunshine Coast climate?
Heat pumps perform very well in the Coast’s mild climate, and solar makes good use of the local sunshine. The best choice depends on your connections, space, budget and how much hot water you use, which we assess before recommending.
What is included in an installation quote?
The unit, the installation, removal and disposal of the old system, valves and fittings, any electrical, gas or plumbing work the new system needs, and commissioning. If one quote looks far cheaper, the difference is usually in what it leaves out.
Can you install a system I have bought myself?
Ask us first. It depends on the system and where it came from, and it affects who carries the manufacturer’s warranty if there is a fault, so it is worth a conversation before you buy.
What size system do I need?
It comes down to occupants, bathrooms, whether anyone takes baths and whether demand is about to change, not bedroom count. We size storage by capacity and recovery, and continuous flow by flow rate.
Can I get a rebate on a heat pump or solar system?
Many heat pump and solar systems can attract small-scale technology certificates or rebates. We can talk you through the options that apply to your situation.
Are your plumbers licensed?
Yes. Installations are carried out by fully licensed and insured plumbers and gas fitters (QBCC 015411295).
